Hi my name is Kristy and in Feb this year after her first birthday my little god daughter Ellie was diagnosed with Tay Sachs. Its a rare genetic brain disorder where there is no treatment nor cure and will cut her little life short. Tay sachs is where a fatty substance GM2 builds up in their nerve cells and tissues in their brain therefor causing Ellie to have seizures gradually paralysis and loss of vision and respiratory problems. It truely is a horrible disease! So i have made it my mission with the help of the brain foundation to ride my push bike a total of 1723k from Stanhope in Victoria to Ellies home town of Noosa to help raise much needed money and awareness for this beautiful girl. I start my journey on October the 11th from Stanhope Vic i have a support crew which consists of my two beautiful sons Zenith and Hunter my parents Jenny and Brian caroline (family friend) and my co rider Dave and his partner Sue.
